As the 2013 football season began to come to an end, it quickly became apparent that we could actually have a Super Bowl that featured the Seattle Seahawks against the Denver Broncos.

This was a problem for me. 

I happen to live near Denver. I'm surrounded by friends and neighbors who are Broncos fans.

I'm a Seahawks fan. As in, have followed that team for over 30 years. It was a bit ironic to me that just two years after moving to Colorado, my team, which generally had average seasons, was suddenly taking off, and now facing my new 'home team' in the biggest game of the year.

To make matters more complicated, when I got my new leg last year, I had it covered in Seahawks logos. That was in June, way before there was any hint that it might be a problem to wear a Seahawks leg in an area that preferred that orange team.

When it came down to my team versus the home team, a reporter for the Denver Post wrote an article about my leg, and how hard it can be to be a fan of the opposing team. Here's the link, if you'd like to read it:
