Harrisburg has a family friendly place called City Island. We spent many hours there, riding kiddie rides, walking the trails, watching a minor league ball team, and eating the most amazing french fries I've ever had.

Jeff's temporary apartment in Harrisburg, while he was on special assignment. We missed him during the week, but it was comforting to have an evacuation location since the Security Alert was still at level Red back home in D.C.

We'd often take our bikes on the metro and go into Washington D.C. on weekends to explore. It was much easier for me to get around on a bike than it was walking.
